Project Rescue is for Ignition systems that have stalled, become unstable, or grown past the point where anyone can explain them, from a single project to several sites. It starts with a free Ignition MRI. If the system is too complex for a backup scan to resolve, a fixed-fee assessment follows.
Any one of these on its own is normal. If you see several, pause new features and establish where the system stands first.
Rescues are for systems we did not build: one your own team wrote, a previous integrator's work, or a project that changed hands along the way. We often start without a handover, and our job is to fix the system, not to assign blame.
Every rescue starts with a free Ignition MRI. You send one backup, and we return every risk we found, ranked and rated. For many systems, that is enough to plan from. The most complex systems need more than a backup scan can show: several sites, no one left who can explain the system, or problems that appear only while it runs. The assessment covers those cases, and you pay for it only if you need it.
You send one backup. Within five business days you receive every risk we found, ranked by severity and rated for effort to fix. It is free, and for many systems it is all the diagnosis required. Start here →
For systems the MRI cannot resolve on its own. It takes one to two weeks for a single gateway. We go beyond the backup: we interview the people who operate and maintain the system, observe it running, and deliver a plan that sets out what to fix and in what order, what it will cost, and what to keep versus rebuild.
Ends with a risk map, a stabilization plan and a rough budget.
This is the work the assessment defines. We fix what is unsafe, complete what is unfinished, rebuild what needs rebuilding, and hand back a system your team can maintain, with the documentation the original project never produced.
Delivered in phases. You can stop at the end of any phase.
You receive an accurate picture of your system and a written plan, and both are yours whether or not you hire us for the work that follows. If we think your own team should finish the job, we will say so.
The hard part is rarely the code itself. It is knowing which of the many apparent problems actually matter, and the order to fix them in so the system keeps running throughout. That judgment comes from seeing many Ignition systems fail in many different ways.
Three of our team came from Inductive Automation, including both founders, Jerry Eppler and Jae Park. We are an Inductive Automation Premier Integrator, and we have won the Ignition Exchange Challenge twice. We use AI to work through large projects faster, and a senior engineer is responsible for every conclusion we deliver. How we use AI →
Often it is, and we will tell you so. The MRI reads your entire backup. It cannot interview your operators, observe the system under load, or price the fix. When those are the open questions, the assessment answers them. If the MRI already gives you a plan you can act on, you need nothing more.
Anything from one stalled project to a platform running across many sites. The assessment for a single gateway takes one to two weeks. Several sites take longer and require more of your staff's time. The sequence is the same in every case: establish where the system stands before anyone writes more code.
No. The assessment stands on its own, and everything we deliver is yours. The plan is written so your own team, or your current integrator, can carry it out. We will tell you which parts you can handle yourselves.
No. That is the usual starting point, and it is most of what the assessment is for. We determine what the system was meant to do from the system itself: the gateway, the projects, the database, the tags and the audit trail. You do not need to brief us on a system no one can explain.
Not by itself. AI-written code is produced quickly and usually works. Where it falls short is keeping one consistent design across a large project, and handling behavior under load or during a failure. Those are the areas we examine most closely.
The MRI is free. The assessment is a fixed fee, quoted after a short call once we understand the size of the system. The fee does not change unless you request and approve a change in scope. Any work after the assessment is quoted separately, once that work is defined.
Call us, and an engineer will tell you whether the free MRI is enough or you need an assessment.
